You will learn so much interesting yet shocking facts about the Bunyoro Kingdom and how far the Kingdom has come to where it is today. Interestingly, you will discover that the Museum with a throne of nine legs, Ceremonial spears, ancient arrows, ancient ivory tucks, several kinds of traditional crowns, and the musical instruments used by all the former Kings of Bunyoro Kingdom from the time the Kingdom started. The floor of the Royal Museum is covered with leopard and lion hides and bark cloth because of its sacredness and visitors visiting the place are supposed to remove their shoes before entering the Royal throne room.
Most importantly, the Nyamyaro Royal Museum preserves and promotes the human heritage and Ancient Royal regalia of the former Kings of Bunyoro-Kitara Kingdom through sensitization, education, and tourism among others. Also at the site is the Tomb of the prominent former King-Omukama Sir Tito Winyi, the Katashiha Fort and caves used as a hideout by Omukama Kabalega during wars against the British Empire, the Ssemwema Cultural Site, the Kacungiro Site, the Kigwara Cultural Site, the Igayaza Chwezi historical Site and Masaka historical Sites that contains the remains of Omukama Yosiya Kitahimbwa and Muka Baro.
