The largest ever Ugandan delegation has just returned from UK to participate in the World Travel Market (WTM) (11th to 14th Nov 2002). WTM is the largest trade only international tourism trade exchange providing a conducive environment for buyers and sellers of tourism products.
Uganda fielded 17 companies with 2003/2004 holiday options ranging from avian holidays to sport fishing, primate viewing, adventure holidays, trekking and eco-tourism.
The emphasis was on the special niches where Uganda has a competitive advantage, while in view of the on-going arrangements of marketing E.Africa as one destination, this product positioning ushers in the ideal of the three countries complimenting one another rather than competition.

Enthusiasm and interest in Uganda as an upcoming tourist destination was exceptional. Over 40 new trade exchanges were struck by our service providers paving way to a very busy 2003/2004. It is through these exchanges that Ugandan holidays will be featured in Agents multi-destination brochures for distribution and sell in retail outlets.
This is a very positive development and you are advised not to miss out on this. Contact your nearest travel Agent specializing in Africa for a detailed offer. This may be your only chance of becoming part of a radical shift in the way tourism is conducted in a developing country.
